Accra, Oct. 9, GNA - Ethiopian Aviation Academy, has graduated 262 aviation professionals.
The academy graduated 50 pilots, 66 aviation maintenance technicians, 120 cabin crew and 26 Equipment and Facility Maintenance technicians; 10 majoring in Industrial Mechanics and 16 in Industrial Electricity.
A statement issued in Accra by Mrs Hanna Atnafu, Manager Corporate Communications, Ethiopian Airlines and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Monday, said out of the total number of graduates, 34 were from Cameroon, Rwanda, Equatorial Guinean, Togo, and Congo and the rest from Ethiopia.
It said “participation of other African nationals testified to the Ethiopian Pan African stance and the key role Ethiopia is playing in the development of African aviation industry”.
According to the statement, Mr Tewolde GebreMariam, Group CEO, Ethiopian Airlines Group, congratulated and welcomed the new graduates to the airline’s dedicated workforce.
“Education is the greatest Equalizer in our world today and Human Resource Development is one of the Four Pillars of our Vision 2025 Strategic Growth Plan,” the statement stated.
According to the statement, the Group CEO said in line with the belief “we have invested adequately in capacity building in the Ethiopian Aviation Academy, which is the largest and most modern in the continent of Africa”.
