The Premier Soccer League have handed out suspended fines to Itumeleng Khune and Kaizer Chiefs after the player displayed a religious slogan during his team's clash with Orlando Pirates.
During last month's Soweto derby, Khune lifted his jersey to reveal the words 'GOD IS GREAT' written on an undershirt.
The Bafana Bafana skipper was charged with displaying a religious slogan while Chiefs were charged with bringing the game into disrepute.
Both parties pleaded guilty and the player and club were each fined R25,000, suspended for 12 months. Khune was also ordered to provided a written apology while Amakhosi were also to pay the cost of the hearing.
