Johannesburg - Irish singer and songwriter Brian McFadden will tour South Africa in November 2018.
The full live tour is titled Brian McFadden - Soul Jam and the British performer will be backed by a full nine-piece band onstage.
While this show will focus largely on his love for old-school soul, it will include many of Westlife’s greatest hits, according to organisers.
The tour will kick off on 16 of November at Platteland, a new venue in Centurion.
Continuing with two shows in Stellenbosch on the 17 and 18 November at the newly built Spier Amphitheatre. With only 650 tickets available, it will be an intimate affair, the lay-out such that every seat in the house guarantees an up close and personal show.
About the tour Brian said: “This is a project I have wanted to do for years. I love old soul and I cannot wait to perform some of the great soul classics in South Africa.”
Brian McFadden is an Irish singer/songwriter whose singing career took off when he joined the boyband Westlife in 1998.
With twelve number one hit singles like Flying Without Wings and Uptown Girl, they enjoyed enormous international success.
In 2004 he left the band to pursue his solo career, releasing his debut album Irish Son. His first single off the album reached number one, followed by a string of number ones.
Brian is currently working on recording and producing an album collection of soul classics featuring various guest artists, the first a tribute to soul legend Otis Redding. The first two singles will be released towards the end of October, running alongside his new live shows.
