JOHANNESBURG - The South African Weather Service says there is expected snowfall over most mountains in the Western Cape from this afternoon and into the evening.
A cold front hit parts of the south-west of the country last night bringing cold weather and some rain falls across the country.
The weather service says cold weather as a result of the front is expected to hit Gauteng and other provinces tomorrow.
It says extremely high fire danger conditions are expected as a result of high wind.
Forecaster Kgolofelo Mahlangu said, “The cold front will move swiftly to the east… Behind it will be very cold conditions felt over the Western Cape and the Northern Cape.”
