It appears coverage of the couple's wedding has been limited to Hello and OK! magazines and SABC3's Top Billing.
Thus the online sharing of pictures and videos of the event was forbidden - even for the happy couple, who are frequent users of Instagram and Twitter.
The Times understands the couple and guests stayed at Kleine Zalze Lodge, which has views of the Stellenbosch and Helderberg Mountains.
Guests included Graeme Smith and wife Morgan, AB de Villiers (Du Plessis's best man), JP Duminy, Dale Steyn, David Miller and Morné Morkel.
Smith tweeted on Saturday evening: "Wish you all the best in your future together. Great to share in your special day."
Danielle de Villiers posted: "@ImariVisser & @faf1307 May life only get better from today on!"
Sports agent Steven Musgrove tweeted: "Wow, what hangover! Beautiful day... Thanks for letting me share it with u both."
Du Plessis got engaged to Visser, a former marketing manager, in December last year. He proposed to her at Timamoon Lodge in Mpumalanga, not far from the Kruger National Park.
She received a dessert with "will you marry me?" written on it with chocolate sauce.
Du Plessis recalled: "I got up to stand next to Imari but she was so focused on looking at the beautiful dessert that she didn't see the chocolate writing!
"I had to prompt her, saying: 'Can you see anything written on your plate?' "
