Rain is expected in the interior of South Africa, with cool weather along the West Coast and interior and higher temperatures along the East Coast on Tuesday.
A 60% chance of rain is forecast for the central parts of the country, covering the northeastern parts of the Western Cape, the eastern parts of the Northern Cape, the southwestern parts of the North West, the western parts of the Free State, and the northwestern parts of the Eastern Cape.
Isolated showers are predicted for the rest of the Free State, central North West, the central and western parts of the Northern Cape, the eastern parts of the Western Cape, and the central and southwestern parts of the Eastern Cape.
Minimum temperatures on Tuesday will be low in the interior with cool conditions expected along the coastline.
The coldest place in South Africa will be Bethlehem in the Free State, with a minimum of 8°C.
Maximum temperatures will be higher on the east coast. Moving westwards, temperatures will be lower in the northeastern parts of the country and the interior, including Mpumalanga, the Free State and the central and eastern parts of the Northern Cape, and the northern parts of the Eastern Cape, getting warmer along the West Coast. The southwestern tip of the country is expected to be cool.
The hottest place in South Africa will be Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape, which will reach a high of 32°C.
Pretoria will experience a maximum of 24°C while Johannesburg will also have a high of 24°C. Bloemfontein will see a high of 19°C.
Along the coastal regions, Cape Town will reach 23°C, Port Elizabeth 28°C, and Durban will see a maximum of 26°C.
